This peel uses a blend of retinoic acid, alpha-hydroxy acid and beta-hydroxy acid to stimulate collagen production and reduce hyperpigmentation or acne scars. This peel can also be used to improve cystic acne. A series of treatments is recommended for optimal results, and the peel can be used on all skin types. Retinol is used to neutralize the peel, and may cause yellowing of the skin for a few hours after the treatment; the face must not be washed for 7 hours after this treatment.

Lactic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid which is derived from sour milk. When lactic acid is applied to the skin, it chemically exfoliates the outer surface of the skin and encourages new cell turnover. Lactic acid is a natural humectatant, pulling moisture from the collagen levels to the surface of the skin. It has a "plumping" effect, particularly on dry and dehydrated skin.
